Derrida’s Library


“One photo depicts a section of the home library of Jacques Derrida, from Ris Orange, France, and the other, a section of the home library of John Searle, from Berkeley, CA, USA. They show the section of their libraries where their own publications appear. In the 1970’s they debated the meaning of J.L. Austin’s How to Do Things with Words, and in general the meaning of language.”
