Thrilled belief to be showing these wood-fired pieces by Takayuki Watanabe, who only fires twice a year in his remote studio in Japan, in the “I’m Revolting Ceramics Shop” for Sight Unseen OFFSITE, May 16-20 at 2oo Lafayette St. in NYC.
I can’t believe I’ve never posted before about Object and Totem, Julianne Ahn’s pottery line! So psyched that these works from her amazing “Artifact” line and more will be available in the “I’m Revolting Ceramics Shop” for Sight Unseen OFFSITE: May 16-20 in NYC.
Part of the thrill of curating the “I’m Revolting Ceramics Shop” was finding artists I didn’t know before like Joseph Pintz, who makes work with heft (he calls it “stubborn physicality”) — dough bowls, double bowl and more available from May 16-20 at 200 Lafayette St. for Sight Unseen OFFSITE.
Jaume Amigó at Michael Dunev. ALSO: Plates at Clucart.
Simple perfect tableware from Andrew Kazakes, also available as part of Arts Restore LA.
I’ve been swooning over the work of Mushimegane Books for months, without realizing it. Vessels with feet at OEN. ALSO: These bowls.
Went to the ForYourArt planter pop-up over the weekend with K., N. and R. and, like, totally scored. Top two by Shoshi Kanokohata, large piece by Kathleen Ryan, and tray by Kye Potter and Julia Dzwonkoski.
Gorgeous, gorgeous ceramics by Takayuki Watanabe.
Splattered mugs from last weekend’s sale at Echo Park Pottery. ALSO: Small vessels for espresso.
